professional experience

I have been working professionally as an internet developer for over two years. During this period my role as senior developer with the Sussex based web company Aktiv Technology has seen me working on sizeable corporate projects for Unilever and Birds Eye Wall's, focussed on providing document and content management systems, intranet portals and on-line communication and training tools.
 
Conversant with a wide range of internet technologies (ASP, HTML, JAVASCRIPT, FLASH, PHP, C/C++) as well as other mobile platforms (PALM, WAP, SMS), my real skill lies in being able to bring these diverse elements together as needed to suit a particular project or client.
The Aktiv E-Ching is a perfect example of this integrated approach - taking the same content and making it available to web browsers, mobile phones (via WAP & SMS) and handheld computers, from the same source.
 
I have taken training courses in ASP/Dastabases and also in Web Site Usability.

I am currently balancing my time between Aktiv Technology, freelance work and personal projects, and recent months have seen me work on a wide variety of projects from Flash & DHTML games, to stand alone CD Roms, to Content Management Systems, to integrated multi-platform solutions.
 
I recently completed a stock tracking application for a local scaffolding company, comprising a suite of applications that allowed stock movements to be tracked on Palm handhelds, then downloaded to a desktop database application for storage and retrieval.
